Charles F. Haanel was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was a noted American author and a businessman. He had owned several major companies and was a self made success in his time. He was president of the Continental Commercial Company he is also president of the Sacramento Valley Improvement Company and president of the Mexico Gold & Silver Mining Company. He is best known for his book The Master Key System that covers everything from how to get wealthy to how to get healthy. By 1933 The Master Key System had sold over 200,000 copies worldwide.

In 1919, Napoleon Hill wrote him a letter thanking him for The Master Key System (written in 1912). In the letter Hill stated, “My present success and the success which has followed my work as President of the Napoleon Hill Institute is due largely to the principles laid down in The Master-Key System.” In his books, he spends much time talking about key points such as: The laws of a concentration, attraction, & harmonious thinking and action. The Master Key System contains 24 parts or modules of study. Charles Haanel is also quoted in the bestselling book “The Secret” (2007).
